Many people like to the sport's evaluation is different.Batting 7th is Detroit Tigers’ super prospect, Nick Castellanos. This guy is an absolute stud. Castellanos tore up the Florida State League this season as he batted over .400 with 87 hits. He earned a promotion to Double-A Erie where he is now batting .307. The 6’4″ third basemen will be the team’s DH. Castellanos has been heavily rumored in Detroit trade talks for the past couple of seasons, but if Nick stays in the Detroit organization like I expect he will, Castellanos will be in the Motor City in no time. Possibly even this year, Detroit has quietly been having Nick take fly balls in the outfield. His bat just might earn himself a September call up.If you really like the sport.

Sometimes it is wonderful. Sometimes it is worth us to think.Don’t forget about the guys coming of the bench either. Manny Machado is the top prospect in the Baltimore farm system. The Orioles, in my opinion, have the best minor league system in all of the major leagues. Machado will more than likely be the Opening Day shortstop come 2013, and will probably see some time in the big leagues in the months to come. Nolan Arenado will also be coming of the bench, Nolan is a third basemen who is the top prospect in the Rockies organization.

There is a chance to make baseball more fun, interesting and alongside the process, fair. But ,to be fair, baseball is the slowest of any sport to accept change and unfortunately for them it’s not just change, it’s progress. That’s a fair reason this country and sport are considered to be so in tow with one another. Hockey changes when needed and doesn’t wait for a conference to decide a seemingly innate detail. Football dominates the land in viewership and does whatever it wants. Basketball is stubborn too, but nowhere near MLB. NBA is at least forward thinking with social media and replay. It’s about ideas with the Sports Flood (Printer Friendly) so let’s work on one aspect of MLB.Enjoy life now provide happiness.

The pleasure we will feel baseball. Life is wonderful. The All-Star game, this year in Kansas City, is a fun event and has the chance to be even better. It’s a chance to see all of our favorite players in one spot having a good time in the middle of a grinding 162-game season. The game is an exhibition of MLB’s best and most popular for the fans. It is an exhibition. Therefore it should stay an exhibition. I could care less which league wins (American League) and just want to see my guys make a play, crack a smile and get back to the rest of the season healthy. Since when was it okay to reward a league, no matter their representative, home-field advantage in their championship series possibly despite win/loss record? How much does anyone think that “This Time It Counts” means “This Time I’ll Watch”?  No fair weather television viewer cares about that game counting. None.
